F205J è il nuovo gruppo che identifica i ragazzi della Comunità Ebraica di Milano. L'evoluzione è avvenuta perché le esigenze dei ragazzi sono cambiate così come alcune dinamiche comunitarie . F205J is the new group representing the young people of the Jewish Community of Milan. It is an evolution of the former EFES2 group. This evolution reflects the changing needs of young people, as well as shifts in certain community dynamics, which have allowed us to adapt the way we communicate and to support young people not only during their school years but also as young adults between the ages of 18 and 30. F205J - About Daniel ILAN F205J A new energy comes into play for the Youth Department. Building our new future The idea originated with Daniel Saada, one of the two organisers, following his sabbatical year in London, where he had the opportunity to attend various youth events. He then decided to organise a Shabbaton for Jewish young people aged between 18 and 35 who are connected to the Jewish Community of Milan. He was fortunate to meet the Secretary General, Alfonso Sassun, who offered his full support. Together, they set the date and location for the first Shabbaton, organising a Shabbat dinner in the Segre Hall of the Italian Rite Synagogue at the Jewish School, on 16 September 2022. Daniel quickly realised that, for the Shabbaton to be a success, an extra pair of hands was needed, and this is when Ilan Cohen joined the team. More than 90 people took part in the Shabbaton—an outstanding success for a first event organised with little publicity. This event became a milestone, and energised by its success, Ilan and Daniel decided to think bigger. They involved Ilan Boni, the then Councillor for Youth, who expressed his enthusiasm and encouraged them to move forward. This is how F205J was born—an added boost for the Youth Department of the Jewish Community of Milan. No time was wasted, and work began immediately on organising the first official event of the Youth Department, scheduled to take place during Sukkot, the Festival of Booths. The first step was to book the sukkah of the Jewish School of Milan, and on 14 October 2022 promotion of the event began. The initiative was met with widespread enthusiasm and attracted a significant number of participants. The success was made possible thanks to the strong support of the entire Community and the help of three young volunteers: Yosef Sassun, Leo Sassun and Gavriel Airppol Events - Coming Soon Gallery A Fun Fact F205 represents the tax code of the Municipality of Milan, while the “J” stands for Jewish. We are very pleased with what has been created, and in order to actively build our success, the long-term project NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT There are many new initiatives on the way that can only become reality with the support of all young people who, with intelligence, enthusiasm and passion, are willing to carry forward these many gatherings and activities. It is an environment rich in creativity and innovation, where young people can develop their relational, cultural and creative skills in complete safety. The Youth Department aims to promote a sense of belonging and closeness, as well as stronger identification with and attachment to the Community among young people. We aim to foster more meaningful relationships and encourage greater sharing among the young members of our Community. Our goal is to encourage networking among members of the Community and external speakers and participants involved in our activities, strengthening dialogue with a wide range of organisations outside the CEM through tailor-made meetings, courses, seminars and debates. We aim to develop pathways that foster integration and enhance the contribution of young people and young adults within the Community, also as a socio-cultural foundation for the activation and strengthening of services such as: To promote effective collaboration among the main under-18 youth movements operating at local (Milan), national and international levels, through the planning and organisation of cycles of activities. To establish a calendar of events and activities for members of the Community over the age of 18, in collaboration with other Milan-based, national and international organisations. Mission To promote a sense of belonging and closeness, as well as stronger identification with and attachment to the Community among young people. Our activities include an active presence on social media, the creation of thematic mailing lists, and the use of web tools to reach new contacts. We aim to attract new memberships, increase participation, and foster long-term engagement among the young members of our Community. STAY IN TUNE GET INVOLVED Events
